HILARY DUFF TO PERFORM ON THE LIVE RESULTS SHOW THURSDAY, JULY 12

The summer hit SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE returns this week with performances by the Top 14 finalists (Kameron Bink, Cedric Gardner, Anya Garnis, Jaimie Goodwin, Lauren Gottlieb, Neil Haskell, Sabra Johnson, Hok Konishi, Pasha Kovalev, Shauna Noland, Dominic Sandoval, Lacey Schwimmer, Sara Von Gillern and Danny Tidwell) Wednesday, July 11 (8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Adam Shankman, director and choreographer of the upcoming film "Hairspray," joins the panel as a guest judge, and the finalists compete as couples once again on the Wednesday performance show. The following night, the judges will send two more dancers home, and Hilary Duff will perform "Stranger" on the live results show Thursday, July 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed).

In addition to appearing as a guest judge this week, Shankman will choreograph the group routine featuring the song "You Can't Stop the Beat" from "Hairspray" on Thursday's results show. Shankman is one of the entertainment world's premiere dance and physical comedy choreographers, having put his creative stamp on many well-known comedies, dramas, thrillers and animated films. His choreographic projects include "The Addams Family," "Casper," "Inspector Gadget," "Anastasia," "George of the Jungle," "Boogie Nights," "Miami Rhapsody" and "The Flintstones," for which he was nominated for a Bob Fosse Award. Shankman won the Bob Fosse Award for his work with Simon West.

Currently, Shankman is bringing "Hairspray," the feature film adaptation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway production, to life with a remarkable collection of talent including John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer and Christopher Walken. "Hairspray" opens in theaters July 20.

Hilary Duff, a native of Houston, gained global recognition in 2001 as the star of the hit series "Lizzie McGuire." She went on to co-star in hit films like "Agent Cody Banks," "Cheaper by the Dozen," "Cinderella Story," "Raise Your Voice," "The Perfect Man" and "Material Girls."

Duff's four-times platinum, No. 1 solo debut CD "Metamorphosis" sold 3 million records, as did her self-titled album "Hilary Duff." Duff has enjoyed Top-40 hits like "So Yesterday," "Come Clean," "Fly" and "Wake Up." "Most Wanted" was her second CD to debut at No. 1, where it remained for two weeks.

For her latest album, "Dignity," Duff teamed up with Grammy Award-winning songwriter Kara Dio Guardi as well as top producer/songwriters Chico Bennett and Richard Vission, Tim and Bob, Vada Nobles, Fred Wreck, will.i.am and Rhett Lawrence.

Duff's upcoming movie projects include "War, Inc." (starring John Cusack, Sir Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei) and the animated feature "Foodfight!" She recently debuted her own perfume, "With Love."
