Both shows premiere Monday, April 6 - The Hotel Inspector at 10:00 a.m. ET/PT and Antique Roadshow UK at 12:00 p.m. ET/PT with subsequent episodes at 4:00 p.m. ET/PT.
THE HOTEL INSPECTOR - U.S. PREMIERE
Ever stayed at a hotel with less-than-satisfactory service, outdated dcor, poor quality food or an uncomfortable bed? Renowned hotelier and author Ruth Watson is The Hotel Inspector and she's looking to whip Britain's struggling bed and breakfast owners and hoteliers into shape.
The Hotel Inspector has an intense eye for detail with her no nonsense methods as she encourages each establishment to ensure the highest standard of quality for the ultimate guest experience. She relentlessly challenges the owners to clean up the filthy guest rooms, deal with rude employees and get rid of the horrible food with the eventual aim of bringing the hotel up to 5-star quality.
Across the series, Ruth visits a struggling B&B in Stratford upon Avon, attempts to drag a faded seaside guesthouse into the 21st Century and tackles two sisters who have taken on a Suffolk hotel without any industry experience.
ANTIQUES ROADSHOW UK - U.S. PREMIERE
Antiques Roadshow UK, the basis from which the U.S. version was created and one of the UK's longest running shows, is part adventure, part history lesson, and part treasure hunt. It showcases some of the most valuable and sometimes not-so-valuable treasures hidden in the back of closets, tucked away in attics and even buried under beds. This season's new presenter Fiona Bruce, one of the BBC's primetime news anchors, keeps the tradition going with priceless treasures being examined and commented on by the Roadshow experts.
Antiques Roadshow UK is filmed in various locations across the UK and among the discoveries, this season, are a sword that fought in the English Civil War, original designs for the tomb of the Unknown soldier, the oldest toy train in the program's history, rare paintings and a unique recording of a Beatles recording session.
