BBC America Bolsters Royal Wedding Coverage With New Programs
Said lineup includes the previously announced two-part special "Royally Mad," hosted by Cat Deeley.

BBC AMERICA BOLSTERS ROYAL WEDDING COVERAGE WITH NEW PROGRAMS

New York, NY - As BBC AMERICA gears up for its live broadcast of the Royal Wedding on April 29, the channel continues to build its slate of royal programming, with two new premieres for March and five new premieres in April.

Hot on the heels of William & Kate: Modern Monarchy and Modern Monarchy: Here and There comes an all new BBC World News America produced Royal Special in March. Modern Monarchy: Dos and Don'ts explores monarchies around the world, as well as the UK and how what they do impacts on the way they are perceived by the public. Premiering this April in the week leading up to the Royal Wedding, BBC AMERICA has acquired five newly royal - themed documentaries which include:

Diana's Dresses - explores the Diana phenomenon, and how the dresses she wore serve as a reminder to her fans of the woman she was. Diana's Dresses premieres Sunday April 24, 12p.m. ET/PT

Princess Diana - Her Life in Jewels - From fairy - tale wedding to tragic funeral, the documentary examines the extraordinary life of Diana, Princes of Wales as chronicled through her jewellery. Princess Diana - Her Life in Jewels premieres Sunday April 24, 1p.m. ET/PT

Royal London - Giving viewers a tour of one of the world's most famous capital cities, this fascinating documentary gives a historic and contemporary insight into centuries of royal tradition, pomp and circumstance. Royal London premieres Wednesday, April 27, 8a.m. ET/PT

How to Be A Prince - On 21st June 2003, Prince William turned 21. This two - part documentary examines what it is like to be in line to the throne, documenting the life that Prince William has so far lived. It also draws on examples from the past, shows how he might, in his adult life, avoid making some of the same mistakes his ancestors have made before him. How to Be a Prince Part 1 premieres Wednesday April 27, 11am ET/PT with part 2 following at 12p.m. ET/PT.

To complement the documentary premieres, BBC AMERICA is also introducing some more light - hearted interstitials.

Graham Norton's Royalty Checks, come courtesy of channel personality Graham Norton (The Graham Norton Show). These provide viewers with his own personal commentary on Royal Wedding preparations in the UK, injectedwith Graham's trademark wit. At least one new interstitial will air every week leading up to the big event, before being available on BBCAmerica.com.

Katy Brand's Royal Family provide additional interstitials featuring UK comedian, Katy Brand (Katy Brand's Big Ass Show) and her trademark humor as she brings her own Royal Family members to the small screen. As with Royalty Checks, each interstitial will be available on BBCAmerica.com once it has premiered on the channel.
