Lead-Off Series for CBS's Top-Rated Monday Comedy Block Extended Through
The 2012-2013 Season
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has been renewed through the 2012-2013 season as part of a multi-year broadcast agreement between CBS Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox Television.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has been an integral part of CBS's top-rated Monday comedy block since its premiere in September 2005.
Currently in its sixth season, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is posting year-to-year increases in viewers and key demographics. The series is averaging 9.48 million viewers (+8% versus last year), 3.8/09 in adults 18-49 (+9%) and 4.4/11 in adults 25-54 (+7%) in its Monday (8:00-8:30 PM) time period. It is also CBS's highest-rated series among adults 18-34 (3.3/10).
In addition to being a ratings success, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has also earned critical acclaim and award recognition. Neil Patrick Harris has earned four consecutive Emmy Award nominations for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series," while the series was nominated for "Outstanding Comedy Series" in 2009. Harris was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2009 and 2010 in the category of "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television."
Additionally, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was nominated by the Television Critics Association for "Outstanding Achievement in Comedy" and "Individual Achievement in Comedy" (Neil Patrick Harris) in 2009, and is the recipient of several People's Choice Awards nominations.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER stars Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders. Carter Bays, Craig Thomas, Pamela Fryman, Chris Harris and Stephen Lloyd are executive producers for Twentieth Century Fox Television.
