Actor to Narrate Ten-Episode Series From Big Fish Entertainment Which Follows an Elite Special Operation Unit as They Patrol War-Torn Battlegrounds to Disarm Deadly Explosives

Los Angeles, CA, October 17, 2011 - Actor Josh Duhamel has portrayed fictional members of the United States Military throughout his career, but starting Tuesday, October 25, Duhamel will help impart the real-life missions and actions of a group of US Navy special operatives in "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" on G4. Duhamel will serve as the narrator for the hour-long, 10-episode documentary series which follows an eight-man unit from the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), the world's premier combat force for countering Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), and all other types of weaponry during their five-month campaign in Afghanistan. Produced by Big Fish Entertainment, "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" premieres Tuesday, October 25th at 10pm ET.

"It is truly an honor to be able to partner with G4 to give viewers a look inside the world of the courageous men and women who put their lives on the line to keep soldiers and civilians safe," Duhamel said. "'Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan' is a one-of-a-kind series that shows these real-life heroes using the most advanced technology our military has to disarm explosives, gather evidence, and fight terrorists."

North Dakota native Josh Duhamel made his first major appearance in the award-winning daytime soap, "All My Children" in 1999. He went on to play former U.S. Marine Danny McCoy on the hit NBC drama, "Las Vegas" from 2003 to 2008. During his television work, Duhamel also landed numerous roles in films such as "Win a Date With Todd Hamilton!," "Turistas," and most notably, the blockbuster "Transformers" films in which he portrayed U.S. Marine William Lennox. Recently, Duhamel has starred alongside Katherine Heigl in "Life as We Know It" and will appear in the upcoming films "New Year's Eve" and "Fire with Fire."

"Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" will embed viewers with Sailors from Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Platoon 342 and will allow them to witness every aspect of the unit's deployment, from the life-or-death missions to the humorous, light-hearted moments shared between the brothers-in-arms. Over 15 cameras, including both helmet and body mounted, were utilized to capture the eight-man team's five-month tour. Personnel featured on "Bomb Patrol Afghanistan" are extremely skilled technicians, the very best-of-the-best with over 70 years of combined U.S. Navy service.

"Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" is produced by Big Fish Entertainment with Doug DePriest and Dan Cesareo serving as executive producers. Laura Civiello and Tim Rummel are the series' network executives for G4.

Watch the pressure the elite forces face and split-second decision making they must undertake beginning October 25th at 10PM ET/PT on G4.
