FINAL NOMINEES ANNOUNCED FOR THE SPRINT NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR AWARD FOR THE "2011 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS," LIVE, NOVEMBER 20 ON ABC

Fans Can Vote for the Winner via Text Messaging or at ama.abc.com

The "2011 American Music Awards" is asking the public to cast their votes for this year's Sprint New Artist of the Year Award, the only award which will determine the fans' top favorite new artist who is having a breakout year. The Sprint New Artist of the Year Award will be revealed during the live telecast of the special, airing SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

For the past two weeks, fans have been voting to determine the top four nominees who are now vying for the Sprint New Artist of the Year Award. All fans can send a text message by using 22288 and the number corresponding to their favorite artist. In addition, votes can also be cast via the internet at ama.abc.com. Standard messaging and data rates will apply. Corresponding numbers to text for each artist are as follows:

Voting for the award winner is now open and will conclude during the American Music Awards on November 20 at 9:00 p.m., ET. The nominees were the top new artists based on sales and airplay from December 2010 - August 2011.
