NBC to Wrap "Best Friends Forever" on Friday, June 1

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has issued a return date for its hiatused comedy "Best Friends Forever."
The show's two remaining episodes will air back-to-back on Friday, June 1 at 8:00/7:00c, network sources confirmed to the site this morning.
The newcomer previously aired on Wednesday nights at 8:30/7:30c but got the hook last week in favor of additional episodes of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers." Said switch panned out: the "Rockers" episode on May 2 delivered 4.94 million viewers and a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 according to fast national data, up significantly from "Forever's" April 25 telecast (2.72 million viewers, 0.8 rating among adults 18-49).
While the Peacock wouldn't confirm the ultimate fate of "Best Friends Forever," the aforementioned developments indicate a second season is highly unlikely.
