OXYGEN MEDIA PARTNERS WITH THE BULLY PROJECT FOR EPISODE THREE OF "THE GLEE PROJECT"
Network To Air Anti-Bullying PSA During "The Glee Project's" "Vulnerability" Episode on Tuesday, June 19 at 10pm ET/PT, And Collaborate With The Bully Project on Various Digital Platforms
NEW YORK - June 18, 2012 - Oxygen Media is partnering with The Bully Project to air a PSA featuring "Glee" series regular Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) in support of episode three of the critically-lauded series "The Glee Project." Additionally, the network will work with The Bully Project to blog about anti-bullying on Oxygen.com, tweet on the subject, as well as post content of the episode on TheBullyProject.com. LeAnn Rimes, a celebrity that is a huge supporter of this cause, will also take part in Oxygen's dual screen viewing experience, OxygenLive, to talk about her experience with bullying.
Airing this Tuesday, June 19 at 10pm ET/PT, episode three explores the theme of "Vulnerability" alongside guest mentor Monteith. The episode draws upon the contender's raw emotions in a powerful music video and discussion with music video director Erik White centered around bullying.
The Bully Project highlights solutions that both address immediate needs and lead to systemic change. Starting with the film's STOP BULLYING. SPEAK UP! call to action, The Bully Project will catalyze audience awareness to action with a series of tools and programs supported by regional and national partners. The Bully Project is a collaborative effort that brings together partner organizations that share a commitment to ending bullying and ultimately transforming society.
