Brand New One-Hour "Portlandia" Special Premieres Friday, July 20 + Fan Favorite Marathon

This summer Portlandia fans can indulge in a brand new one-hour special premiering Friday, July 20 at 11PM ET/PT immediately following all new episodes of Comedy Bang! Bang! and Bunk.

Portlandia: The Brunch Special features a never-before-seen look into the making of season two's finale "Brunch Village." Fans will be treated to the director's cut of the episode in which co-creators Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live) and Carrie Brownstein (Wild Flag, Sleater-Kinney) star as some of the series most beloved characters including feminist bookstore owners Toni and Candace and overly eco-conscious couple Peter and Nance as they navigate the complex ecosystem that is the line for Portland's new brunch hotspot, Fisherman's Porch.

The episode then chronicles director Jonathan Krisel's quest to find the world's most perfect marionberry pancakes. His crusade not only delayed production of the episode, it put the fate of the entire season in jeopardy. Kyle MacLachan (Desperate Housewives) leads viewers through this epic tale; Bobby Flay (chef/restaurateur) and executive producer Lorne Michaels also make guest appearances.

Starting today, fans also have the opportunity to create their own Portlandia viewing experience by voting on their all-time favorite episodes on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/portlandia/app_177914495580579. The eight episodes with the most fan love will air on Friday, July 20 as part of the "Portlandia Mixtape Marathon" from 6-10pm. Also, fans who tell us why they love their favorite episode may see their comments appear on air throughout the event!

The third season of Portlandia returns to IFC with ten all new episodes in January 2013.

Fans can enter to win a walk on role in season three at http://www.ifc.com/sweepstakes/take-a-trip-to-portlandia.
