UNTITLED ROGES AILES PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Gabriel Sherman's planned book, tentatively titled "The Loudest Voice in the Room: An Inside Account of the Rise of Fox News," has been optioned for a potential telefilm about Fox News Channel president Roger Ailes at the pay channel. Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski were set to executive produce the project, which ultimately has been tabled by HBO Films President Len Amato. "It had become clear to us before even receiving a script that due to our company's CNN affiliation the film could never be seen as objective," the executive said in the report. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Justin Deeley's Austin is being written out of "90210" however the actor may return in the future (TVLine.com); Sarah Bolger has been tapped to recur as Princess Aurora - better known as Sleeping Beauty - on the new season of "Once Upon a Time," while Jamie Chung has been cast as legendary warrior Mulan (TVLine.com, EW.com); Kristoffer Polaha has joined the cast of newcomer "Made in Jersey" as Nolan, "a handsome, charming third-year associate at the firm" (TVLine.com); and FX's recent purchase of the off-network rights to "Mike and Molly" is valued between $750,000 and $1 million an episode (Deadline.com).
