NOW AND THEN (ABC Family, New!) - "Pretty Little Liars" executive producer I. Marlene King is developing a small screen take on her 1995 feature, about four teenage girls who spend a 1970 summer together. Christina Ricci, Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith and Rosie O'Donnell starred in said effort, which was directed by Lesli Linka Glatter. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)

ROGUE (DirecTV) - Marton Csokas ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") has booked the male lead on the upcoming drama, about a morally and emotionally conflicted cop, Grace (Thandie Newton), who is tormented by the possibility that her own actions contributed to her son's death. Grace's search for the truth is further complicated by her forbidden relationship with the crime boss who may have played a hand in the crime. He'll play the aforementioned crime boss in the Entertainment One Television-based project. Production will begin next month in Vancouver for a premiere next summer. John Morayniss, Matthew Parkhill, Michael Rosenberg, Nick Hamm and Steven Marrs are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Camilla Luddington is set to recur on "Grey's Anatomy" as a young doctor, a role that comes with a series option to become a regular next season (Deadline.com); Megalyn Echikunwoke has joined the cast of "Made in Jersey" as Riley, a second-year associate at Stark & Rowan, "the daughter of an ambassador and a Silicon Valley pioneer" (TVLine.com); Lori Loughlin will return to "90210" for the season premiere as Dixon's (Tristan Wilds) adoptive mother Debbie Wilson (TVLine.com); Linda Hamilton is bound for "Lost Girl" as "a tough, sexy and ruthless assassin who has enjoyed a storied and deadly career" (TVLine.com); Santiago Cabrera has booked an arc on "Dexter" as "a charming investigative writer of true crime books about famous murder cases" (EW.com); Ryan Reynolds will make a cameo on "Family Guy" as "God's previous attempt at an immaculate conception - his first son that didn't quite work out" (EW.com); and "The River" executive producer Michael Green has inked a two-year, seven-figure overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he'll focus solely on development (Deadline.com).
