Last 12 of "TOP 48" Acts Compete This Week for $1 Million Prize

NEW YORK, NY - July 23, 2012- NBC's top-rated "America's Got Talent" makes its way to the last quarterfinal round of the season on Tuesday, July 24 (8-10 pm ET), where the last 12 of the "TOP 48" acts will compete for the $1 million dollar prize. Four more acts will move on to the semifinals to compete against All Wheel Sports, David Garibaldi and his CMYK's, Donovan and Rebecca, Edon, Jacob Williams, Lightwire Theater, The Scott Brothers, Shanice and Maurice Hayes, Tim Hockenberry, Tom Cotter, Turf, and The Untouchables. Wednesday's live results show on July 25th (9-10 pm ET) will feature performances by UK sensation Cher Lloyd, in her U.S. national TV debut, and the 2012 Tony Award- winning Best New Musical ONCE.

The indomitable Cher Lloyd burst onto the scene less than a year ago with her unforgettable vocals, rap skills and genre-bending X Factor UK performances, garnering legions of fans. Now she is taking America by storm, performing her first U.S. single, "Want U Back," which has become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and a Top 5 hit on the iTunes (U.S.) Top 100 songs chart.

ONCE, the eight-time Tony Award winning musical, including the award for Best New Musical, will perform the Academy Award winning song "Falling Slowly," currently playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street, NYC, NY 10036). ONCE tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music, and is based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film of the same name. The cast of ONCE features Steve Kazee as 'Guy' and Cristin Milioti as 'Girl.' Also in the company are David Abeles, Will Connolly, Elizabeth A. Davis, David Patrick Kelly, Eliza Holland Madore, Anne L. Nathan, Lucas Papaelias, Ripley Sobo, Andy Taylor, Erikka Walsh, Paul Whitty, and J. Michael Zygo.
