FROM EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS ANTHONY BOURDAIN AND ZERO POINT ZERO PRODUCTION, WORLD PREMIERE SERIES "THE GETAWAY" KICKS OFF TUESDAY, APRIL 23 ON ESQUIRE NETWORK

-- Join Joel McHale, Aziz Ansari, Aisha Tyler, Eve and more as they Give the Inside Scoop on their Favorite Cities -

Los Angeles, CA (March 27, 2013) - Anyone can be a tourist, but experiencing a city like a local takes a great guide. From executive producers Anthony Bourdain and Zero Point Zero Production comes THE GETAWAY, a new original series that explores the world's greatest cities through the eyes of a revolving cast of travel-loving celebrities who know them inside and out. THE GETAWAY makes its world premiere on the new Esquire Network on Tuesday, April 23 from 10-11p e/p.

Each hour-long episode of the 10-part series THE GETAWAY follows a celeb to their favorite place on earth, where they provide the inside track on the best things to do, food to eat, and places to hang out. They'll hit the streets and enjoy the life of a local, doing what they do, eating what they eat, and going where they go.

For the April 23 premiere episode, Joel McHale (The Soup, Community) hits the historic cobblestone trading lanes of Belfast, Northern Ireland as he samples the local whiskey, tries a tweed wardrobe on for size, and checks out the wheels of a true Irish automobile export, the DeLorean. Additional episodes head to Hong Kong with Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation); Paris, France with Aisha Tyler (Archer); Kingston, Jamaica with Grammy Award-winning performer-songwriter Eve; and San Juan, Puerto Rico with acclaimed chef José Andrés. (Additional travelers and locations to be announced.)

THE GETAWAY's digital experience will take the trip even further, letting fans of the show tag along on the journey from start to finish. On the web, EsquireTV.com will offer highlights and episode recaps in addition to "Quick Stop" vignettes that feature a single, can't miss experience from each week's featured city - and bonus web-exclusive locations not featured in each week's episodes. On social, episode hosts will conduct select live events via Twitter, and personal photo journals and behind-the-scenes video will also help recap the adventure.
