"TEEN CHOICE 2013" TURNS 15! SUNDAY, AUGUST 11, LIVE ON FOX

TEEN CHOICE 2013 will turn up the heat for its 15th year, when the annual special celebrating the year's choicest teen icons in film, television, music, sports, comedy, fashion and the web airs live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, Aug. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

"I really can't believe it's been 15 years," said executive producer Bob Bain. "The talent continues to evolve and break new boundaries each year, which keeps us ahead of the curve and the show young and fresh."

Executive producer Michael Burg added, "This is one of those shows that people talk about for weeks and weeks after. I don't expect that to stop now - even after 15 years!"

The choicest stars, best films, most-loved TV shows, hottest music, favorite fashion icons and funniest comedians of 2012-13 will receive coveted Teen Choice Surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Hottie, Choice TV Villain, Choice Movie Liplock, Choice Break-Up Song, Choice Twit, Choice Athlete and Choice Web Star.

Host(s), performers and presenters, as well as the first round of nominees for whom teens can vote, will be announced soon.

For 15 years, the special has presented performances and appearances by some of pop culture's hottest stars. TEEN CHOICE 2012 was hosted by THE X FACTOR judge Demi Lovato and GLEE star Kevin McHale. Participants included Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Miley Cyrus, Cat Deeley, Ellen DeGeneres, Jason Derulo, Zooey Deschanel, Zac Efron, Selena Gomez, Lucy Hale, Josh Hutcherson, Victoria Justice, Laura and Vanessa Marano, Bridgit Mendler, Lea Michele, Shay Mitchell, Tyler Posey, Gordon Ramsay, Dax Shepard, Sophia Grace and Rosie, Jordin Sparks and Taylor Swift. The live special also featured performances by Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, No Doubt and DJ Pauly D, who served as "Choice" DJ for the night.

TEEN CHOICE 2013 is executive-produced by Bob Bain ("Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards") and Michael Burg. Paul Flattery and Kelly Brock serve as producers and Greg Sills serves as supervising producer.
