LOS ANGELES (April 8, 2013) - Judge Judy Sheindlin has signed a new multiyear deal with CBS Television Distribution to continue presiding over her top-rated show, JUDGE JUDY,through 2017, it was announced today by Armando Nunez, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS Global Distribution.

"Twenty-one is a terrific number," Judge Judy Sheindlin said. "It's when you officially become an adult, it's a winning hand in blackjack and it's the number of seasons we will have hit in 2017. I am so fortunate to have a job that I still love, working with a staff I respect and with a company who is at the top of their game."

JUDGE JUDY, now in its 17th season, averages more than 9 million daily viewers, more than any other show in daytime television. For the last three seasons, JUDGE JUDY finished as the #1 rated show in daytime.

Additionally,JUDGE JUDY has been the top-rated half-hour syndicated court show (860 consecutive weeks) since its debut nearly 17 years ago on Sept. 16, 1996.
