CIRCLE OF CONFUSION AND TOP COW ALSO TO PRODUCE

New York, NY - April 10, 2013 - Syfy is joining creative forces with Fox Television Studios, Academy Award(C)-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis, producers Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine, and feature film writing team John Brancato and Michael Ferris (Terminator Salvation, The Game) to develop the series project No Place, it was announced today by Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. Zemeckis and Rapke are executive producers along with Brancato and Ferris who will write the pilot.

Circle of Confusion will also produce the project with David Alpert (The Walking Dead) and Rick Jacobs as executive producers. Matt Hawkins and Marc Silvestri serve as executive producers for Top Cow.

In No Place, residents of a high-tech gated community awaken one morning to find themselves alone and cut off from the rest of reality - nothing exists beyond the community's walls. Only one man has contact with the powers responsible for what is known as "The Rift," and he must lead his fellow residents beyond the void to discover the truth.

"We are very excited to be in business with this amazing A-list team," said Stern. "We look forward to them bringing their high-quality feature-level sensibility to this taut sci-fi drama."

No Place is based on the Top Cow comic book "The Test" by Matt Hawkins and Joshua Hale Fialkov, with illustrations by Rahsan Ekedal.

Their most recent film, Flight, directed by Zemeckis, and starring Denzel Washington, Don Cheadle and John Goodman, opened in theaters to high critical praise in November 2012, with Washington subsequently earning an Academy Award nomination. In 2012 Zemeckis and Rapke forged a first-look deal with Fox Television Studios to develop and produce original programming for cable.

John Brancato and Michael Ferris have co-written numerous hit feature films including Terminator Salvation starring Christian Bale, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Surrogates starring Bruce Willis, and David Fincher's The Game starring Michael Douglas.

Marc Silvestri is the founder and CEO of Top Cow and is a partner in Image Comics. Matt Hawkins is the president of Top Cow which has previously produced the feature film Wanted and the television series Witchblade, both based on the company's popular comic book properties.
