Exclusive: FOX Books "X Factor" Stunt for Tuesday, October 29
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has locked in its plans to dance around its postseason baseball schedule this fall.

[UPDATED: The two-hour "The X Factor" special has been moved from Tuesday, October 22 to Tuesday, October 29.]

Among the highlights: a special two-hour "The X Factor" on Tuesday, October 29 and a two-hour season finale of "MasterChef Junior" on Friday, November 1.

As a quick reminder, the network will serve up its best-of-seven coverage of the ALCS and the World Series on the following dates (TBS is carrying the NLCS):

Saturday, October 12 - ALCS Game #1
Sunday, October 13 - ALCS Game #2
Tuesday, October 15 - ALCS Game #3 (afternoon start)
Wednesday, October 16 - ALCS Game #4
Thursday, October 17 - ALCS Game #5
Saturday, October 19 - ALCS Game #6 (afternoon start, moves to prime if no NLCS Game #7)
Sunday, October 20 - ALCS Game #7
Wednesday, October 23 - World Series Game #1
Thursday, October 24 - World Series Game #2
Saturday, October 26 - World Series Game #3
Sunday, October 27 - World Series Game #4
Monday, October 28 - World Series Game #5
Wednesday, October 30 - World Series Game #6
Thursday, October 31 - World Series Game #7

Games 1-4 are of course guaranteed while 5-7 are only if necessary. Absent coverage of the latter games, FOX will opt for repeats of its regularly scheduled series. The only exception is "The X Factor" on Thursday, October 31, which will be an original if there's no Game 7 of the World Series.

Furthermore with "The X Factor" likely missing in action on October 16-17 and October 23-24, FOX will make up for the missed time with the aforementioned two-hour special on Tuesday, October 29.

Other adjustments include two hours of "Bones" (one original, one repeat) on Monday, October 21 and repeats of "The Simpsons" on Friday, October 25.

Here's a recap of the affected dates:

Monday, October 21
8:00/7:00c - "Bones"
9:00/8:00c - "Bones" (Repeat)

Friday, October 25
