Said effort, which is awaiting a formal pilot order, has been in the works since July of 2010. (Deadline.com)

IZOMBIE (The CW/Warner Bros.; W: Diane Ruggiero & Rob Thomas; D: TBA) - Nora Dunn ("Entourage") is the latest to score a role on the drama pilot, about Olivia "Liv" Moore, a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner's office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse's memories. She's on board as her Eva Moore, her hospital administrator mom who was a Tiger Mom long before anyone had heard of the term.
