COSMOPOLITAN (Amazon; W/D: Whit Stillman) - Shaun Evans ("Endeavour") has snagged the male lead on the comedy pilot, which chronicles the loves and adventures of a group of young expatriates in Paris. He'll play Hal, "a divorced, good-looking but somber young man who's struggling with his most recent heartache in the company of his two best friends, fellow American Jimmy and European Woody, who's less than sympathetic." FLESH & BONE (Starz; W: Moira Walley-Beckett; D: David Michod) - Vanessa Aspillaga is the latest to be cast in the upcoming drama, which follows Claire Robbins (Sarah Hay), a young ballet dancer with a distinctly troubled past, as she joins a prestigious ballet company in New York. She'll play Monica, "the company's assistant manager, who is stable, extremely good at her job and at managing her boss." Ben Daniels, Damon Herriman, Emily Tyra, Irina Dvorovenko, Josh Helman and Raychel Diane Weiner also star. (Deadline.com)
GOOD SESSION (CBS/Warner Bros.; W: John Hamburg & Matt Miller; D: John Hamburg) - Tracey Ullman has been tapped for a key role on the comedy pilot, about Joel (James Roday) and Lindsay (yet to be cast), a happy couple that goes to a therapist to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss. She's set as Ellen, "the astute, straightforward therapist who uses her own brand of insight and humor to inspire the couples she helps to tell the truth." Rich Sommer also stars. (Deadline.com)
IDENTITY (The CW/CBS; W: Corinne Brinkerhoff; D: Gary Fleder) - Patricia Wettig ("Brothers & Sisters") is the latest to board the drama pilot, about Mia Lawrence (Ahna O'Reilly), a young New Yorker who is recruited by the CIA to infiltrate her recently discovered biological family, a wealthy and powerful dynasty in Texas suspected of having criminal alliances across the globe. She's set as Liana Grant, the brilliant matriarch of the family, who exudes warmth but is actually a wolf in southern belle's clothing. Manish Dayal, Matt Barr, Mehcad Brooks and Stephen Hagan also star. (Deadline.com)
MAN SEEING WOMAN (FX/FXP; W: Simon Rich; D: Jonathan Krisel) - Eric André, Britt Lower and Maya Erskine have all been cast in the comedy pilot, about Josh Greenberg (Jay Baruchel), a naive romantic on a desperate quest for love. André is on board as Mike, "Josh's cocky best friend"; with Lower as Liz, "Josh's intimidating sister"; and Erskine as Maggie, "the ex-girlfriend who broke Josh's heart." (Deadline.com)
MANHATTAN (WGN America/Lionsgate; W: Sam Shaw; D: Thomas Schlamme) - David Harbour ("The Newsroom") has landed a role on the upcoming drama, which follows the brilliant but flawed scientists - on mission to build the world's first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico - and their families as they attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives. He'll recur as Reed Akley, "the golden boy at Los Alamos and the leader of the staff of 600 scientists." Alexia Fast, Ashley Zukerman, Christopher Denham, Daniel Stern, Harry Lloyd, John Benjamin Hickey, Katja Herbers, Olivia Williams and Rachel Brosnahan also star. (THR.com)
MESSENGERS, THE (The CW/CTS; W: Eoghan O'Donnell; D: Stephen Williams) - Craig Frank ("Mixology") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about a group of unconnected strangers who seemingly die from an energy pulse, only to awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse. He'll play Alan Chin, a handsome, introverted techie who works with Vera (Shantel VanSanten), "with whom he shares a romantic past, at the NASA Space Observatory in New Mexico." Said role is in second position to the ABC comedy. Diogo Morgado, Joel Courtney, Jon Fletcher and Sofia Black-D'Elia also star. (Deadline.com)
MISSION CONTROL (NBC/Universal; W: David Hornsby; D: TBA) - Leah Renee ("The Playboy Club") has scored a role on the comedy pilot, which examines what happens when Mary (Krysten Ritter), a strong woman, butts heads with Tom (Tommy Dewey), a macho astronaut, in the race to land on the moon in 1962. She'll play Jessica, Mary's bombshell secretary in the project, which also stars Jonathan Slavin, Julie Meyer, Malcolm Barrett and Michael Rosenbaum. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KEVIN WILLIAMSON PROJECT (CBS/Warner Bros.; W: Kevin Williamson; D: Liz Friedlander) - Victor Rasuk ("How to Make It in America") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, a psychological thriller centering around a pair of detectives (Dylan McDermott, Maggie Q) who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Management Unit of the LAPD. He'll play a member of said unit, Ben Caldwell, an ambitious detective who tries too hard with the ladies, but not enough with everyone else. Mariana Klaveno also stars. (Deadline.com)
