Spike TV Inks Season Five of "Ink Master"

SPIKE TV INKS SEASON FIVE OF "INK MASTER"

"Ink Master" Returns For A New Season Of 16 Episodes Slated for Fall 2014

New York, NY, March 31, 2014 - On the heels of another strong ratings start for the new season of "Ink Master," Spike TV has picked up a fifth season of the network's hit original series. The new season will increase to 16 one-hour episodes and will debut Fall 2014. The announcement was made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike TV.

Season four (through 5 episodes) of "Ink Master" is once again proving to be ratings driver for the network, delivering 1.72 million viewers, and has improved the timeslot in Adults 18-49 by 81% and Adults 18-34 by 115%. The series is 49% male, demonstrating the network's ongoing plan to deliver gender-balanced original hit series.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Original Media, the immensely creative and innovative team who produces 'Ink Master,' the defining series of tattoo culture," said Levy. "The ever-increasing ratings for the series is a testament to the huge stakes and drama in each episode with the incredibly-talented and knowledgeable hosts including Dave Navarro, Chris Nunez, and Oliver Peck."

"Ink Master" is hosted by music legend Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction) and judged by renowned tattoo artists Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck. Tattoo artists from around the country battle it out each week in permanent ink for a $100,000 cash prize, an editorial feature in Inked magazine and the bragging rights title of 'Ink Master.' The show is produced for Spike TV by Original Media ("Swamp People," "Comic Book Men," "BBQ Pitmasters," "Grilled," "Dual Survival," and "NY Ink") with Charlie Corwin, Daniel Laikind and Andrea Richter serving as Executive Producers.
