GOOD SESSION (CBS/Warner Bros.; W: John Hamburg & Matt Miller; D: John Hamburg) - Mandy Moore has been tapped for the female lead on the comedy pilot, about Joel (James Roday) and Lindsay, a happy couple that goes to a therapist (Tracey Ullman) to help them decide if they should have a baby but quickly discover they have more to discuss. She'll play the aforementioned Lindsay, "a driven and hyper-focused business executive who loves her husband but isn't quite ready to hop off the fast track of her successful career to have kids." Ana Nogueira, Danielle Nicolet and Rich Sommer also star. (Deadline.com)
MANHATTAN (WGN America/Lionsgate; W: Sam Shaw; D: Thomas Schlamme) - Newcomer Carole Weyers has booked a role on the upcoming drama, which follows the brilliant but flawed scientists - on mission to build the world's first atomic bomb in Los Alamos, New Mexico - and their families as they attempt to co-exist in a world where secrets and lies infiltrate every aspect of their lives. She'll play Elodie, "a French switchboard operator at Los Alamos." Alexia Fast, Ashley Zukerman, Christopher Denham, David Harbour, Daniel Stern, Harry Lloyd, John Benjamin Hickey, Katja Herbers, Michael Chernus, Olivia Williams and Rachel Brosnahan also star. MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT (A+E Networks, New!) - The company has given a 10-episode order to a new reality series "which will center on six brave souls who agree to legally marry the moment they first meet." The project, based on a Danish format, "will also include four specialists who will create what they believe are three perfect couples based on scientific matchmaking." Kinetic Content's Chris Coelen and Sam Dean along with A+E's Gena McCarthy and Liz Fine are the executive producers. No channel in the company's portfolio was specified. (THR.com)
UNTITLED KZK PROJECT (Netflix/Sony; W: Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman & Glenn Kessler; D: Johan Renck) - Enrique Murciano and Katie Finneran has both scored recurring roles on the upcoming drama, about a family of adult siblings (Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz) whose secrets and scars are revealed when their black sheep brother (Mendelsohn) returns home. He'll play Meg's (Cardellini) boyfriend Marco Diaz, "a member of the county sheriff's department"; while she's set as "Kevin's (Butz) red-haired, witty wife Belle." Sam Shepard, Jacinda Barrett, Jamie McShane and Sissy Spacek also star. (Deadline.com)
