HISTORY OF MUSIC (HBO; W: George Mastras & Terence Winter; D: Martin Scorsese) - Ray Romano ("Parenthood") has boarded the potential drama, about Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale), a cocaine-fueled record exec in New York City circa 1977, when punk, disco and a new form of music called hip-hop collided. He'll play "Richie's close confidante and right hand man Zak Yankovich, the tough and sharp-witted had of promotions at American Century with years of experience dating back to the shady, mob-infested days of the recording business." Jack Quaid, Juno Temple, Max Casella and Olivia Wilde also star. (Deadline.com)


WEIRD LONERS (FOX/20th; W: Michael J. Weithorn; D: Jake Kasdan) - Meera Rohit Kumbhani will round out the cast of the comedy pilot, about four relationship-phobic people who are unexpectedly thrust into one another's lives and form an unlikely bond in a townhouse in Queens, New York. She's set as Zara Miller, "a beautiful young bisexual woman who's also a free-spirited artist and lifelong heartbreaker who makes people fall in love with her, then unceremoniously dumps them as soon as things get even a smidge serious." Becki Newton, Nate Torrence and Zachary Knighton also star. (Deadline.com)
