BIANCA DEL RIO NABS THE TITLE OF "AMERICA'S NEXT DRAG SUPERSTAR" ON THE SEASON FINALE OF "RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE" ON LOGO TV

Los Angeles- May 19, 2014 -- After months of grueling competition and fan anticipation, Bianca Del Rio bested Adore Delano and Courtney Act to be crowned the winner of this season of Logo TV's hit reality competition series, "RuPaul's Drag Race." Sashaying away with the title of "America's Next Drag Superstar" and a $100,000 prize, Bianca beat out 13 of the nation's fiercest queens: Adore Delano, April Carrión, BenDeLaCréme, Courtney Act, Darienne Lake, Gia Gunn, Joslyn Fox, Kelly Mantle, Laganja Estranja, Magnolia Crawford, Milk, Trinity K. Bonet and Vivacious. Following the televised reveal, last season's winner, Jinkx Monsoon, was on hand to pass down the crown in front of a capacity crowd at The Tropicana Las Vegas' Havana Room. BenDeLaCréme was awarded the fan-voted title of "Miss Congeniality."

"Bianca is my kind of entertainer," said RuPaul. "She is totally fearless, bust-a-gut hilarious, and yet she's still managed to touch the hearts of Drag Race fans around the world."

"I feel like I am the luckiest entertainer in the world right now... it's an incredibly rewarding experience to have this honor and I'm proof that anything is possible," said Bianca Del Rio. "I extend my love and gratitude to the talented World of Wonder family, Logo TV, the amazing fans, and especially RuPaul. Ru, please remember to tell the IRS that my name is Pablo Sanchez."

Upon the reveal of the final three, RuPaul asked fans to help her decide the winner by showing their support for their favorite queen by using #TeamAdore, #TeamBianca and #TeamCourtney fans chiming in across Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram and Google+ generating nearly 12 million impressions.

With her quick wit and sharp tongue, Bianca Del Rio quickly emerged as an early favorite endearing herself to the fans and the judges alike, ultimately winning three challenges, and never once finishing in the bottom two. Throughout the course of the competition, Bianca showcased her amazing comedy chops and seamstress skills, and ultimately even surprised herself by melting her cool facade to mentor and assist her follow queens.
