HYSTERIA (Amazon; W: Shaun Cassidy; D: TBA) - James McDaniel ("Detroit 1-8-7") is the latest addition to the drama pilot, about Dr. Logan Harlow (Mena Suvari), an exceptionally bright, driven, complicated, charming but socially awkward neurologist/psychiatrist at the University of Texas Medical School who travels to her hometown of Austin, TX to investigate a mysterious epidemic among high school girls that may be spreading through technology. He will play Dr. Carl Sapsi, "a local Austin doctor who's baffled by the outbreak of hysteria in his midst and initially eager to work with his friend, Dr. Harlow, to uncover the mysteries at its core." Josh Stewart and T.R. Knight also star. (Deadline.com)
RECOVERY ROAD (ABC Family; W: Bert V. Royal & Karen DiConcetto; D: Lawrence Trilling) - Caroline Sunshine ("Shake It Up") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Maddie (Samantha Logan), who has reputation as a party girl who doesn't think she has a problem, until she's confronted one day by her school guidance counselor and forced to choose between expulsion and rehab. She'll play Emily Owenby, "Maddie's best friend since childhood who's becoming increasingly concerned about Maddie's partying." Kyla Pratt and Justin Prentice also star. (Deadline.com)
STITCHERS (ABC Family; W: Jeffrey A. Schechter; D: TBA) - Felix Gomez has scored a role on the drama pilot, about a young woman recruited into a covert government agency to be 'stitched' into the minds of the recently deceased, using their memories to investigate murders and decipher mysteries that otherwise would have gone to the grave. He'll play "college professor Dr. Jerome Smallwood, who teaches a grad course in computer science, in which Kirsten and her roommate, Camille, are students." Emma Ishta and Kyle Harris also star. UNTITLED BILL HADER PROJECT (HBO, New!) - "Saturday Night Live" alum Bill Hader has inked a development deal with the pay channel. The pact calls for the actor/writer to create and star in a new comedy series for the network. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
