LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Syfy has booked the launch date for its New Zealand-import "The Almighty Johnsons."
The 10-episode series - acquired back in August of last year - will bow Friday, July 11 at 10:00/9:00c.
The channel also has the rights to the show's 13-episode sophomore run. Separately, Chris Dingess has been tapped by the network for a potential domestic take.
The drama follows "the Johnson boys, four typical fun-loving guys - who have inherited the power of Norse Gods. But these four brothers are no flashy superheroes. Everyday Gods have everyday struggles - searching for love, overcoming sibling rivalry and fulfilling their God-like destiny - while still enjoying a few beers with their mates."
