GSN PREMIERES THIRD SEASON OF DAYTIME EMMY(R) NOMINATED SERIES "THE CHASE" ON TUESDAY, JULY 8 AT 8 PM ET/PT

Hosted by Brooke Burns, Original Series Features Teams of Three Facing Off Against Quiz Expert Mark "The Beast" Labbett in the Ultimate Trivia Challenge

June 4, 2014, SANTA MONICA, CA - GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, announced today the premiere of its third season of the Emmy(R)-nominated series, THE CHASE on Tuesday, July 8 at 8 PM ET/PT.

Hosted by Brooke Burns and featuring the brilliant and intimidating Mark Labbett (aka "The Beast") facing down all challengers, THE CHASE is one of GSN's most popular original series ever and has attracted more than 17 million total viewers since its premiere in August 2013.

Throughout its second season run, THE CHASE posted impressive ratings growth, with gains in total audience among Total Viewers (81%), W18-49 (61%), P25-54 (58%), W25-54 (89%) and M25-54 (35%). In addition to the stellar ratings growth, the game show also garnered critical acclaim and fervent fans alike.

THE CHASE, based on the highly successful UK format, is produced by ITV Studios America with Bob Boden, Michael Kelpie and Martin Scott serving as Executive Producers.

About THE CHASE:

In THE CHASE, a team of three contestants attempts to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire questions in a 60-second round. The money earned goes into a team bank, but their ability to keep the money can be thwarted by "The Beast," who is always lurking, ready to pounce. The Beast, at 6'7" and 370 lbs., with degrees from Oxford, Exeter and Glamorgan universities, is a quiz show genius and giant in every way. The job of this intimidating presence is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents, to ensure they are not able to bank their money. It's a role he executes with ruthless efficiency. In the final round, the teammates who have survived their initial "chase" collectively play against The Beast in an epic David vs Goliath battle for the entire amount they have banked.
