GALYNTINE (AMC; W: Jason Cahill; D: Greg Nicotero) - Charlotte D'Ambroise has been cast in the drama pilot, which takes place at a time after a cataclysmic technology-induced disaster has resulted in a new society that has eschewed any form of technology. She'll play Micah, "a former healer and now the colony's unofficial historian." Also starring are Catherine Dent and Peter Fonda. (Deadline.com)
GRACE & FRANKIE (Netflix; W: Howard J. Morris & Marta Kaufman; D: Tate Taylor) - Martin Sheen ("Anger Management") has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy, which focuses on nemeses Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) facing the last chapter of their lives, though not in the way they expected. When their husbands announce they are in love with each other and plan to get married, the women find their lives both turned upside down and to their dismay, permanently intertwined. He'll play Robert, Grace's husband, in the project. Tate Taylor has likewise been added as an executive producer and will direct the debut installment. (THR.com)
NARCOS (Netflix; W: Carlo Bernard & Doug Miro; D: José Padilha) - Manolo Cardona is the latest to be cast in the drama, an all-new take on the amazing story of the Medellin Cartel, once the world's most ambitious and violent trafficking organization. He'll play Eduardo Mendoza, "the baby-faced chief of the National Prison System, an inexperienced, kind, idealistic man-child with a can-do attitude who was wrongly blamed for Escobar's escape from La Catedral." Boyd Holbrook, Pedro Pascal and Wagner Moura also star. (Deadline.com)
SEX, LIES AND HANDWRITING (ABC, New!) - Annie Brunner ("Saving Grace") has set up a potential drama at the Alphabet about Leslie Bold, "an accomplished artist and handwriting expert - with her own newspaper column on the subject - who is unexpectedly drawn into the world of crime-solving because of her extraordinary skills." Said effort is based on Michelle Dresbold's book of the same with Nancy Miller, Tandem's Rola Bauer, Jeff Sagansky, Sunta Izaccupa, Chris Barrett, Ivan Fecan and Brett Burlock executive producing and Brunner serving as a co-executive producer. Lionsgate Television and Tandem Communications are co-producing via Sea to Sky Entertainment with an eye towards a direct-to-series order. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED FATAWESOME PROJECT (MTV2, New!) - YouTube staples Justin Parker and Jimmy Craig have scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a potential half-hour sketch series. Ryan Ling and PJ Morrison are also on board to executive produce the project, the latter of which will direct. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
