COCAINE COWBOYS (TNT/WHT; W: Michelle Ashford; D: Mark Pellington) - Kristen Hager, Adria Arjona, Kelsey Siepser and Oscar Jaenada are the first to be cast in the pilot, a drama set in the wild and unpredictable world of the Florida drug trade in the 1970s. Hager will play Luanne, "a former beauty queen who is in a loveless marriage with pot runner Bobby (not yet cast) and finds little appeal in being a mother to their 8-year-old daughter"; with Arjona as Maria Zorilla, "who is in love with all things American, and is also one of the most vicious drug traffickers to ever grace the Miami stage"; Siepser as Kat Wiseman, "a partner in a marijuana business who is involved in a passionate and tortured affair with the married love of her life and business partner Bobby"; and Jaenada as Jimeno "The Poodle" Padilla, "a pot dealer turned cocaine trafficker." (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Claire Foy has reportedly been offered the role of Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix's "The Crown" (Deadline.com); Randy Jackson won't return to "American Idol" this season as a mentor (Deadline.com); "NCIS" co-star Rocky Carroll will go behind the camera to direct an upcoming episode of the series (EW.com); and Nick Jandl will recur on "Nashville" as "a direct-but-charming physician who becomes intimately involved in the lives of two of the show's key characters" (TVLine.com).
