INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S HIT PODCAST "DETECTIVE," FEATURING STORIES FROM BEHIND THE YELLOW TAPE, RETURNS WITH "MURDER CHOSE ME" STAR ROD DEMERY

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Investigation Discovery's fan favorite podcast DETECTIVE is back with an all-new season sharing intense and intimate stories that fans don't get to hear on TV. DETECTIVE is a weekly podcast that delves into the case files of a true detective, revealing juicy tidbits and shocking insights from unforgettable investigations or haunting moments in his or her career. Season 3 brings listeners the star of ID's new TV series MURDER CHOSE ME, Detective Rod Demery, whose successful professional accomplishments are rivaled only by his tragic personal life. The mystery of his mother's death when he was only 3 years old hung over Demery, and his obsession with solving her murder drove him to pursue a career seeking justice. Vowing that no family should be denied justice the way his family was, Demery worked for 14 years on more than 250 homicide cases, achieving a confession and a 100% solve rate in each of the 60+ cases where he served as lead detective. DETECTIVE launches today in advance of the television premiere of MURDER CHOSE ME, premiering next Wednesday, February 15 at 10/9c on Investigation Discovery (ID). Future installments of DETECTIVE will be released every week over the course of six weeks on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, and other podcatchers.

Through raw and unscripted first-person storytelling, each episode of DETECTIVE features Demery as he recounts his most harrowing cases interwoven with reflections on his personal relationship with murder. In the premiere, Demery reveals the childhood trauma that led him to a lifelong passion for seeking justice before coming face-to-face with the murderer who changed his life forever. Subsequent episodes this season focus on his brother succumbing to the other side of the law, Demery's no-holds-barred approach in getting confessions, how he just can't shake his obsession with murder, and more.

An anthology-style format, DETECTIVE features a different ID resident investigator each season, with the premiere season hosted by HOMICIDE HUNTER's Lt. Joe Kenda and the second featuring I AM HOMICIDE's Garry McFadden. Subscribe now to get new episodes of DETECTIVE in your feed.
