COMEDY CENTRAL(R) PRESENTS "JORDAN KLEPPER SOLVES GUNS" A ONE-HOUR INVESTIGATIVE COMEDY SPECIAL PREMIERING SUNDAY, JUNE 11 AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT

Appearances by New Jersey Senator Cory Booker; Former Army Special Ops Soldier Pat McNamara; Members of the Georgia Security Force Militia; and Experts, Enthusiasts, and Activists Spanning the Ideological Spectrum

NEW YORK, May 15, 2017 - Jordan Klepper believes he can fix America's gun problems... in one hour. His strategy is simple: change the minds of every gun owner in the United States one person at a time. But will he discover that the partisan divide over gun control is not as divide-y as it seems? Jordan Klepper Solves Guns, a one-hour special combining documentary filmmaking, comedy and investigative journalism debuts Sunday, June 11 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

"Over the course of this special, I selflessly let people on all sides of the gun debate be interviewed by me, and I was consistently surprised by how much common ground they shared," said Klepper. "This special isn't just about America's relationship with guns - it's about how needlessly toxic the debate around that issue has become. Also, doing my part to bring the country together, I show my ass on television."

Jordan Klepper Solves Guns spotlights alarming legal obstacles and enlightening personal testimony surrounding the issue of gun violence in America. The special follows Klepper as he becomes increasingly aware that legislative red tape and special interests - much more than any cultural or partisan divide - are keeping the nation from simple safety reforms.

Klepper converses with Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), former ATF special agent David Chipman, former NRA lobbyist Richard Feldman, and more. He embeds himself with the Georgia Security Force militia and trains with former Army Special Ops soldier Pat McNamara to understand what it's like to be "gun as f**k." The rich, intense experiences give Klepper front-line perspective on the gun-control debate, but leave him wondering if he's overlooked the more soft-spoken voices of ordinary citizens - the type he encounters in his hometown of Kalamazoo, Mich.

At home, Klepper interviews Midwestern moderate gun owners - among them his own cousin, Pete - gauging just how difficult it might be to change even the less adamant opinions on the other side of an issue. He even undergoes an MRI to better understand the political mind and how one might go about changing it. Weighing it all, Klepper realizes that from one side of the spectrum to the other, none of his subjects ruled out some measure of common-sense gun reform.

Leading up to the linear premiere of Jordan Klepper Solves Guns, cc.com will feature preview clips from the special which will also be available in the CC App and Comedy Central's Discover channel on Snapchat. Jordan Klepper Solves Guns will be available to stream in its entirety on cc.com and via the Comedy Central App on Monday, June 12, with an extended and uncensored version available for digital download on Tuesday, June 13. Fans can join the social conversation by following Klepper on Twitter at @jordanklepper and using #JordanSolvesGuns.

Jordan Klepper is a correspondent on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah which he joined in 2014 under Jon Stewart and continued after Trevor Noah took over as host in 2015. In his time at The Daily Show Klepper has defined himself with both his studio work and segments in the field, ranging from his multi-part series exploring the reality of being a "Good Guy with a Gun" to his field pieces at Trump rallies which have garnered millions of views. Klepper was recently tapped by Comedy Central to launch his own late night series which will air weeknights following The Daily Show beginning this fall.

Prior to The Daily Show, Klepper spent years as a performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, during which time he co-created and co-starred in the UCB Comedy-produced pilot Engaged, which was featured at the New York Television Festival. Klepper worked as a writer and contributor on the Big Ten Network show Friday Night Tailgate, MTV2's Charlamagne & Friends and as a contributing writer on HBO's Ferrell Takes the Field. Together with his collaborator and wife, Laura Grey ("Klepper & Grey"), he created Peepers (2014), which was featured at SXSW and the Tribeca Film Festival, and the short film TMI (2012), which was a featured short at Slamdance.

Jordan Klepper Solves Guns is executive produced by Klepper, Kirsten Ames, Steve Bodow, and Todd Bieber who also serves as director. Jonas Larsen, Sarah Babineau, Ari Pearce, and Christian McLaughlin are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
