CASTLE ROCK (Hulu) - Melanie Lynskey has been tapped for a lead role on the upcoming drama as Molly Strand, "a woman with a rare medical condition who's barely scraping by as a real estate agent in a town where every third property is the site of someone's worst nightmare." (Deadline.com)
CODE BLACK (CBS) - Moon Bloodgood will recur on the show's third season as Rox, "a brassy and competitive paramedic who thinks fast on her feet and doesn't scare easily. Heroic and full of command, she finds a new challenge in her ride-along partner, [Rob] Lowe's Dr. Willis." (TVLine.com)
DEEP MAD DARK, THE (TNT) - Megan Martin has scored a role on the drama pilot as "the mysterious character of Joda." (Deadline.com)
HAPPY VALLEY (HBO) - Kathy Baker and Greg Grunberg have both been cast in the pay channel's Joe Paterno/Jerry Sandusky-docudrama as Sue Paterno, "wife of famed football coach Joe Paterno (Al Pacino)"; and Scott Paterno, Joe Paterno's son. (Deadline.com)
HERBIE (Disney XD, New!) - Disney's anthropomorphic Volkswagen Beetle is being developed as a new TV series for the cable channel. Travis Braun is penning the potential half-hour with Tom Burkhard and Matt Dearborn also serving as executive producers. (TVLine.com)
TALES OF THE CITY (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service is reportedly look to revive the small screen take on Armistead Maupin's famed book series about "alternative lifestyles and underground culture in San Francisco in the 1970s." Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis, who played Anna Madrigal and Mary Ann Singleton, in the three previous mini-series - "Tales of the City" (1993), "More Tales of the City" (1998) and "Further Tales of the City" (2001) - are attached to star in the new iteration, which "would be a modern take on the LGBT-themed series, set 25 years later, and possibly would be shot in San Francisco." Maupin will executive produce however no other auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - Alexandra Breckenridge's Sophie and Jon Huertas's Miguel are both slated to return as series regulars for the show's second season. (Deadline.com)
