100, THE (The CW) - Shannon Kook will guest on the show's season five finale as Lucas, a top secret role which has an option to become a series regular. (Deadline.com)
DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW/THE FLASH (The CW) - "The Flash's" Keiynan Lonsdale will transition his Wally West character to a series regular on fellow entry "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." He'll make the leap come episode 13 this season. (EW.com)
EMPIRE (FOX) - Ryan Michelle Bathe has been cast as Celeste, "one of Eddie Barker's (Forest Whitaker) former wives" in a recurring role. (TVLine.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Will Yun Lee has scored an arc on the drama as "an ex-cop named Alex Park who has decided to become a doctor. Alex's former profession comes in handy as he demonstrates to the other residents that he has a keen ability to read people." (EW.com)
JANE THE VIRGIN (The CW) - Eva Longoria will play "a fantastic, funny, engaging, smart and beautiful actress named 'Eva Longoria'" in an upcoming episode in which "Rogelio seeks out Longoria to be his co-star in the American adaptation of The Passions of Santos, and discovers they have a 'surprising connection.'" Longoria previously directed an episode of the series. (ETOnline.com)
KOMINSKY METHOD, THE (Netflix) - The upcoming Michael Douglas-led comedy - about Sandy Kominsky, an actor who years ago had a brief fling with success and is now a revered Hollywood acting coach - has rounded out its principal roles. Sarah Baker will play Mindy, "the caring, hard-working, straight-shooting daughter of Sandy Kominsky"; with Susan Sullivan as Eileen, "who's been married to Norman (Alan Arkin) for 42 years and is unquestionably his better half"; and Emily Osment, Graham Rogers, Ashleigh LaThrop, Jenna Lyng Adams, Melissa Tang and Casey Brown as his students Theresa, Jude, Breana, Darshani, Margaret and Lane, respectively. Additionally, Lisa Edelstein will appear as Phoebe, "Norman's troubled, pill-popping estranged daughter." The actress is also attached to star in "Confessions of a Sociopath," currently in development at Universal Cable Productions. (Deadline.com)
MIXTAPE (FOX) - Josh Safran's drama is set to receive a pilot order. Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle will also executive produce for Annapurna Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television with Ali Krug as a co-executive producer. The project's logline is: "A romantic musical drama that looks at a disparate group of interconnected people in contemporary Los Angeles through the lens of the music that defines who they are. MIXTAPE captures the different stages of love, exploring if time can heal a broken heart and if love can withstand life's tragedies."
MR. MERCEDES (Audience) - Tessa Ferrer has signed onto the show's sophomore run as Cora Babineau, "wife of Dr. Felix Babineau (Jack Huston) and head of marketing at a major pharmaceutical corporation, who's even more ambitious than she is beautiful." (Deadline.com)
NCIS (CBS) - "The Price Is Right" host Drew Carey is slated to appear on the veteran drama as "a retired Marine Sergeant who ships care packages to active-duty servicemen every day. He is the lead suspect in a murder case after one of his care packages contains cookies laced with cyanide." (Deadline.com)
OUR PEOPLE (A.K.A. UNTITLED VALI CHANDRASEKARAN PROJECT) (FOX) - Vali Chandrasekaran's single-camera comedy has been ordered to pilot. Lee Daniels, Pam Williams, Marc Velez, Yossi Vassa, Shai Ben-Atar and Liat Shavit also serve as executive producers for Lee Daniels Entertainment and Endemol Shine in association with 20th Century Fox Television. It's detailed as follows: "Based on the Israeli format "Nevsu: A Young Multi-Cultural Couple" - a man from a bombastic African family who doesn't have a word in their native language for "privacy" and his fiancée from a mid-western family try to build a normal life together. Though nobody can agree what that "normal" means."
REL (A.K.A. UNTITLED LIL REL HOWREY PROJECT) (FOX) - The Lil Rel-led multi-camera comedy is also heading to pilot at the network. Lil Rel, Kevin Barnett and Josh Rabinowitz co-wrote the project for 20th Century Fox Television with Mike Scully and Jerrod Carmichael likewise executive producing. The logline is as follows: "Lil Rel, a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to "always believe in yourself and great things will come," finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the South Side of Chicago who's on a quest for love, respect and a new barber. Inspired by Lil Rel's real life."
UNTITLED TIM DOYLE PROJECT (ABC) - Tim Doyle's single-camera comedy - about an Irish-Catholic family with a working class dad, traditional mom and eight sons as they struggle to cope in the turbulent 1970's - has been ordered to pilot by the Alphabet. ABC Studios is producing. (Deadline.com)
