BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER (New!) - Monica Owusu-Breen is spearheading a new reboot of Joss Whedon's supernatural franchise for Fox 21 TV Studios with the new slayer to be African American. The project will be pitched to streaming and cable networks this summer. No other specifics were given. Whedon, Gail Berman, Fran Kazui, Kaz Kazui and The Jackal Group's Joe Earley will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) - Stephen Henderson, Tonya Pinkins, Mo Collins and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell are all bound for the back half of the show's fourth season in unspecified roles. (@TheWalkingDead)
GOOD TROUBLE (Freeform) - Teri Polo and Sherri Saum will both reprise their roles of Stef and Lena in the upcoming "The Fosters" spin-off. (@TheFostersTV)

WALKING DEAD, THE (AMC) - Samantha Morton has been cast as iconic villain Alpha, "leader of the Whisperers," in the show's ninth season. (Deadline.com)
WU ASSASSINS (Netflix) - Katheryn Winnick, Lewis Tan, Tommy Flanagan, and Tzi Ma have all been cast in the martial arts crime series. Winnick will play Christine "C.G." Gavin, "an undercover cop caught in the middle of a gang war that's breaking out in Chinatown"; with Tan as Lu Xin Lee, "a suave, fierce intelligent leader who owns and operates his own custom garage a la West Coast Customs and runs a car theft ring for the Triad"; Flanagan as Alec McCullough, "an international crime boss with a mysterious interest in San Francisco's Chinatown"; and Ma as Mr. Young, "a kindly Chinatown grocer and a mentor to Kai."
