ESHMUN PROTOCOL, THE (CBS, New!) - Jason Keller has booked a new drama at the Eye which "centers on a combat engineer who returns home to San Francisco for the funeral of his estranged father and begins to unravel the mystery of his father's death and the dark secrets of the bio-tech company he inherits." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Rina Mimoun, Thinking Hat's Craig Turk and Rideback's Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE (HBO Max) - T.R. Knight's role on the upcoming thriller has been detailed as Davey, "Cassie's (Kaley Cuoco) older brother who "gently" disagrees with her life choices and is constantly frustrated that his sister remembers their childhood very differently." (Deadline.com)
FRIENDS (NBC) - Warner Bros. Television is reportedly in talks with HBO Max for "an unscripted reunion special that would feature Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman." The deal for project nevertheless "is far from done and agreements with cast and creatives still need to be hammered out." (THR.com)
NIKKI FRE$H (Quibi, New!) - Nicole Richie is attached to star in a new comedy at the streaming service about her rapper alter ego as she brings "a new voice to wellness with a fresh style of music - "Parent Trap" - dropping socially conscious and educational rhymes on the world." Jax Media is behind the project with Richie, Michael Baum, Carrie Franklin, Lilly Burns, Tony Hernandez and Séamus Murphy-Mitchell serving as executive producers. Music on the series will be overseen by Joel and Benji Madden's MDDN. (Deadline.com)
POINT HORROR (HBO Max, New!) - The streaming service is developing an anthology series based on R.L Stine's book series of the same name. "Each episode of the show will be inspired by one of the books in the series, told for today's audiences but with a nostalgic nod to the 1990s." Jon M. Chu is in negotiations to direct and executive produce the series alongside Stine and Yvonne M. Bernard for Picturestart and Lionsgate Television. (Variety.com)
POWER, THE (Amazon) - Auli'i Cravalho is set to star opposite Leslie Mann in the Naomi Alderman adaptation as "Margot's (Mann) daughter, Jos. As Margot's career takes flight, it's her husband Rob and daughter Jos who privately feel the effects of her success most keenly; for one of them, where previously there was conflict now comes a greater understanding, and for the other where there was love, comes hurt and betrayal." SINGLE PARENTS (ABC) - Co-star Taran Killam took to social media with the news that John Michael Higgins and Mo Collins have been cast as his character's parents on the series. (@tarzannoz)
