BRIDGERTON (Netflix) - The streamer has paused production on the new season for an indefinite period of time after another positive test for COVID-19. (Deadline.com, 7/17)
CHARMED (The CW) - Co-star Madeleine Mantock is exiting the series after three seasons. "Playing Macy on Charmed for the last three seasons has been an immense privilege and I have so enjoyed working with our fantastic producers, creatives, cast and crew," Mantock told the publication. "I'm incredibly grateful to The CW and CBS Studios for my time on the show and for being a brilliant support in my difficult decision to leave. Huge thanks to our fans who can look forward to, what I know will be, a spectacular fourth season." (TVLine.com)
FINAL GIRL SUPPORT GROUP, THE (HBO Max, New!) - Grady Hendrix's just released horror novel is being developed as a TV series at the streamer with Charlize Theron and director Andy Muschietti among the featured auspices. The novel's title "refers to a Los Angeles-based therapeutic support group for six "final girls" - survivors of mass-murderer rampages whose experiences inspired the slasher franchises that saturated horror cinema in the 1980s and '90s, earning them minor celebrity." A.J. Dix, Beth Kono, Andrew Haas, Barbara Muschietti, Irene Yeung and Adam Goldworm will also executive produce alongside Hendrix, Theron and Muschietti for Denver & Delilah Films, Double Dream and Aperture Entertainment. GROWN-ISH (Freeform) - Daniella Perkins and Warren Egpyt Franklin are bound for the current season as Kiela, "a freshman journalism student at Cal U and resident of Hawkins Hall who piques the interest of Doug"; and Des, "a junior on the track team who recently returned to campus after taking a leave of absence," respectively. GUERRILLAS (ABC) - Comedian Al Madrigal has signed a multi-year overall deal with the project's producer CBS Studios. The pact covers his duties on the potential comedy, which he will write and star in, as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)

IRMA VEP (HBO) - Adria Arjona, Carrie Brownstein, Jerrod Carmichael, Fala Chen and Devon Ross have been cast opposite Alicia Vikander in the featured-turned-limited series. Arjona will play Laurie, "Mira's ex-assistant and girlfriend; things didn't end well with Mira"; with Brownstein as Zelda, "Mira's agent; she's not interested in the vampires project and has far more lucrative offers for Mira"; Carmichael as Eamonn, "Mira's ex-boyfriend; he in Paris for a movie, and they haven't seen each other since they broke up"; Chen as Cynthia Keng, "a rising star from Hong Kong hired by René Vidal to play Irma Vep's provocative accomplice and part of the Vampires' plans"; and Ross as Revina, "Mira's assistant - a cinephile who soon will direct her first feature." MOONHAVEN (AMC) - Emma McDonald has scored the lead role in the upcoming drama series: Bella Sway, "a lunar cargo pilot and smuggler 100 years in the future who finds herself accused of a crime and marooned on Moonhaven, a utopian community set on a 500 square mile Garden of Eden built on the Moon to find solutions to the problems that will soon end civilization on Mother Earth. A skeptic in Paradise, Bella is sucked into a conspiracy to gain control of the artificial intelligence responsible for Moonhaven's miracles and teams with a local detective to stop the forces that want to destroy Earth's last hope before they are destroyed themselves." WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS, THE (HBO) - Corbin Bernsen and Alexis Valdés are the latest to be cast in the limited series. Bernsen will play Richard Kleindienst, "the Harvard-educated attorney general that is tainted by the ITT scandal and a contentious confirmation process. He refuses to use his power to shield the Plumbers from investigators." And Valdés is Felipe De Diego, "a Cuban-American real estate broker and yachtsman who participates in every Plumbers operation except the one which ends in their arrest." (Deadline.com)
