AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE (ABC) - Disney Media Entertainment & Distribution has sold repeats of the series to local stations representing more than 85% of the country to date including the CBS Television Stations in 13 major markets. Said run begins in the fall of 2022. (Deadline.com)
DEAD RINGERS (Amazon) - Michael Chernus will star opposite Rachel Weisz in the film-turned-TV series as Tom, "a brilliant scientist, working with Elliot (Weisz) on a groundbreaking but perilous new project." (Deadline.com)
DOLLFACE (Hulu) - Corinne Foxx will recur on the upcoming season as Ruby, "the enigmatic daughter of a music industry mogul who reappears from the girls' past and strikes up a whirlwind friendship with Madison (Brenda Song)." (Deadline.com)
DUNE: THE SISTERHOOD (HBO Max) - Diane Ademu-John has been tapped as showrunner of the long-in-the-works prequel series. She replaces Jon Spaihts, who bowed out in November of 2019. (Variety.com)
ECHOES (Netflix) - Michelle Monaghan will topline the streamer's limited series, billed as "a mystery thriller about identical twins Leni and Gina, both portrayed by Monaghan, who share a dangerous secret. Since they were children, Leni and Gina secretly have swapped lives, culminating in a double life as adults: They share two homes, two husbands and a child, but everything in their perfectly choreographed world is thrown into disarray when one of the sisters goes missing." FBI: INTERNATIONAL (CBS) - Christiane Paul and Carter Redwood will round out the cast of the spin-off series. Paul will play "a Europol agent," while Redwood plays "a member of the FBI Fly Team in Budapest." (Deadline.com)
GASLIT (Starz) - Co-star Sean Penn is reportedly refusing to return to work on the limited series "until everyone on the production has been vaccinated for the virus." Penn has offered to "facilitate the vaccination effort, free of charge" via his organization, CORE. Producer NBCUniversal mandated mandatory vaccinations for "the cast and those who come in close proximity" last week. (Deadline.com)
LAST OF US, THE (HBO) - Anna Torv is slated to recur on the video game adaptation as Tess, "a smuggler and hardened survivor in a post-pandemic world. In the original video game Tess works with Joel to survive and smuggle weapons in and out of Boston. She also accompanies Joel on the seemingly impossible mission to smuggle Ellie to the Fireflies." OFFER, THE (Paramount+) - Anthony Ippolito has been cast as Al Pacino in the streamer's limited series about the making of "The Godfather." (Deadline.com)
PERIPHERAL, THE (Amazon) - Alexandra Billings has scored a recurring role on the series as Detective Ainsley Lowbeer. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
SHINING GIRLS (Apple TV+) - Emmy nominee Phillipa Soo has scored a role on the Elisabeth Moss-led series as "the intelligent and sure-footed Jin-Sook who works in the research department at the Adler planetarium." (Deadline.com)
SHINING VALE (Starz) - Alysia Reiner will recur on the newcomer as Kathryn, "a razor-sharp, successful New York professional (Wharton graduate) who's extremely comfortable with herself and the most successful woman in the male-dominated "low-risk moderate-return insurance-backed securities field". She is Terry's (Cox, Kinnear) co-worker/"work wife" and "office crush." Terry & Kathryn's relationship might prove to be a little too friendly… and a little too costly for both of them."
