(Los Angeles) - Last season, two of the world's most prolific treasure hunters, Hamilton White and Carl Cookson embarked on a journey that took them all over Europe and the Middle East - from the romantic spires of 12th century Portugal, to the spiritual Temple Mount in Jerusalem, to trace the origins of the legendary Templar relics. Now, the fearless duo is back on the trail of some truly astonishing relics and historical pieces, which, if authenticated, will potentially change our understanding of some of the most iconic periods of British and European history. The brand-new season of LOST RELICS OF THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR premieres Wednesday, September 15 at 10PM ET/PT on Discovery.

Aided in their adventures by cultural and art historian Dr. Janina Ramirez, treasure hunters, Hamilton and Carl journey to stunning locations around the world including Venice, Istanbul, Barcelona, Jerusalem, and the Pyrenees, in their quest to authenticate the rare and precious antiquities from Hamilton's collection.

From a sword and helmet believed to have been used in the First Crusade to a beautiful and mysterious white marble chalice believed to have been one of the most coveted possessions of the Knights Templar, Hamilton and Carl unearth fascinating information about each relic's history and set out to solve the mystery behind each item in their extraordinary treasure hoard.
