David Dobrik Travels the Globe to Create Exciting New Content and Gives Back to Others Documented in Event Series on discovery+
David Dobrik, who rose to social media stardom with his wildly popular short-form vlogs, dreams of traveling the world to immerse himself in new cultures, make new friends and give back to the many people who have supported his work over the years. However, as a DACA DREAMer he is unable to freely travel outside of the U.S. - until now. In the all-new multi-platform event series, DISCOVERING DAVID DOBRIK for discovery+, the definitive non-fiction, real-life subscription streaming service, David shares his journey to obtain a green card which will give him permanent resident status in the U.S. and the freedom to travel the globe to meet new people and create entertaining new content and giveaways. As a constant advocate of fellow DACA children, David's opportunity to apply for a green card empowers him to continue supporting other DACA candidates in the greatest capacity possible. DISCOVERING DAVID DOBRIK streams later this year on discovery+ and an introductory "mini-sode", a mini episode of the series, streams today.
David's adventure to secure a green card begins in his home country of Slovakia where in 2002 at the age of six he left for the U.S. with his parents and siblings. David returns for the first time in 19 years and reunites with his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. David has always credited his close friends with helping him get to where he is today, and in appreciation for their support, David brings beloved friends Natalie Mariduena, Jason Nash, Nick "Jonah" Antonyan, Suzy Antonyan, and Todd "Toddy" Smith with him to Slovakia to meet his family.
DISCOVERING DAVID DOBRIK will document special moments with David's family and friends, and more, as David and his friends later travel to some of the greatest global cities to learn from other cultures, create exciting new content and open up the world to his and Discovery's audiences. And in his own special way, David will give back to the people he meets along the way and contribute to the communities he visits. The introductory mini-sode features David revealing the news of DISCOVERING DAVID DOBRIK to the Vlog Squad as he invites his friends on the adventure that will allow him to interview for his green card and later travel the world to meet and show gratitude to his supporters. The episode also includes David's departure from the U.S. and arrival to Slovakia.
