Discovery Channel Announces August Programming
"Lone Star Law," "Mysteries of the Deep" and "Tales from the Explorers Club" are all on tap later this month.

DISCOVERY CHANNEL ANNOUNCES AUGUST PROGRAMMING

Discovery Channel announced all-new and returning series slated to premiere in August. The titles, among others, will include:

"Lone Star Law" returns on Saturday, August 6 at 8PM ET/PT

No day is typical for the elite force of Texas Game Wardens. Whether tracking poachers, rescuing injured wildlife, confronting drug smugglers, or saving victims of natural disasters, every Lone Star patrol is risky and unpredictable. And with more than 250,000 square miles of land and water, plus nearly 30 million people to protect, the Texas Game Warden's job is only getting bigger. Saturday's season premiere includes two all-new back-to-back episodes. "Mysteries of the Deep" with Jeremy Wade returns on Wednesday, August 10 at 9PM ET/PT

For more than a decade, audiences have followed extreme angler and underwater detective, Jeremy Wade, across the globe as he searched for some of Earth's greatest and most elusive fish and wildlife. "Mysteries of the Deep" featuring Wade returns to dive deeper into the depths of the underwater unknown to uncover the truth behind the most iconic and baffling mysteries known to science, from Amelia Earhart to the Amber Room and a strange Stonehenge-like temple at the bottom of the Black Sea. Through stunning footage and expert analysis, "Mysteries of the Deep" deploys groundbreaking research to cast new light on some of the greatest mysteries of all time. Tales from the Explorers Club will take viewers inside the headquarters of the legendary Explorers Club to relive the epic adventures of members who have pushed the bounds of human possibility venturing to Earth's highest peaks, deepest ocean trenches, the North and South poles, and even into outer space. With exclusive access to the Club's storied archives, expert staff and brave members, the series will profile the accomplishments of real-life action heroes including Ernest Shackleton, Gertrude Bell, Sir Edmund Hillary, Jim Lovell, and Jeff Bezos among others.
