ALERT (FOX) - Scott Caan will star opposite Dania Ramirez in the upcoming drama as Devon Zoellner, who is "fearless, smart and calm and under stress. He thrived in the life and death world of war-torn Iraq-until the disappearance of his 11-year-old son brought him rushing back. Six years later, with his son still missing, his marriage over and his personal life a mess, he is asked by his ex to help find a young kidnap victim." (Deadline.com)
AMERICAN AUTO/MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A/NEIGHBORHOOD, THE/SHINING VALE (Various) - Executive producer Dana Honor has signed an exclusive overall deal with Universal Television, where she'll develop new series projects via her newly launched Defining Eve Productions banner. Honor spent the past five years as an executive producer at Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment. (Deadline.com)
AT HOME WITH THE FURYS (Netflix, New!) - Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury is set to be the focus of a documentary series at the streamer which "will give audiences exclusive access to the heavyweight champion as he exits the ring and tries to embrace retirement with his family including his wife Paris, father John, and his six children." Laura Leigh is executive producing with Demi Doyle and Claire Little as producers and Josh Jacobs as director. (Deadline.com)
AVALON (ABC) - Alexa Mansour is the latest addition to David E. Kelley's upcoming drama series as Deputy Carolyn Chavez. "Her good cheer, optimism, and sense of humor is thoroughly unbridled. Carolyn loves her job, loves her boss, loves everything about living on the Island. She has her own compass, one she acquired after being forced to fend for herself at a young age." (Deadline.com)
BLACK MIRROR (Netflix) - Myha'la Herrold is the latest actor bound for the anthology's sixth season. (Deadline.com)
EUPHORIA (HBO) - Barbie Ferreira, who plays Kat on the series, has indicated she will not return for the show's third season. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Longtime cast member Kelli Giddish will depart the series during the upcoming 24th season. "I wanted to address the chatter I've seen online and let everyone know that this will, indeed, be my last season on Law & Order: SVU," the actor said in a statement. "Playing Rollins has been one of the greatest joys and privileges of my life. I've been so fortunate to be a part of the Law & Order family for the last 12 years. There is simply no other character on TV like Rollins. She's grown and changed, and I have as well. I started on this show when I was in my late 20s and I'm grateful I got to spend so many of my adult years with Rollins in my life." (Deadline.com)
SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES, THE (Disney+) - Christian Slater, Lyon Daniels and Noah Cottrell have all landed principal roles on the live-action series adaptation of the popular fantasy books. Slater will play Mulgarath (alter ego Dr. Dorian Brauer), "a capital-V Villain who does what all ogres do - he eats people, an insatiable desire to consume. Mulgarath wants the secrets contained in Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Natural World for a nefarious scheme that will satisfy his hunger." Daniels' Jared is "the adventurous, clever, and impulsive twin brother, who has been troubled by anger issues." And Cottrell is "the thoughtful, more rational twin Simon, who is an animal lover - Jared's antithesis in everything. The twins have been inseparable since birth and even developed their own special "twin language," but resentments are growing between them, threatening to disrupt their brotherly bond." SUCCESSION (HBO) - Dagmara Domińczyk's Karolina Novotne, Alexander Skarsgård's Lukas Mattson, Arian Moayed's Stewy Hosseini, Juliana Canfield's Jess Jordan, Annabelle Dexter-Jones's Naomi Pierce, Hope Davis's Sandi Furness, Cherry Jones's Nan, Justin Kirk's Jeryd Mencken, and Stephen Root's Ron Petkus are all due back for the show's fourth season. SURVIVING PARADISE (Netflix, New!) - The streamer has ordered a new reality series from All3Media's Studio Lambert and Raw TV due in spring 2023. It is detailed as follows: "Enjoying the opulence won't come as easy, however. In this competition, contestants must start their journey camping in the wilderness.
