2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO to Culminate with WBD Sports' First Ever Presentation of the Stanley Cup Final

WBD Sports' Sports Emmy-nominated Stanley Cup Playoffs presented by GEICO coverage will continue this Thursday, May 18 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final between Hart Trophy finalist Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers visiting Sabastian Aho and the Metropolitan Division-winning Carolina Hurricanes.

On the call for the Eastern Conference Final will be Kenny Albert, along with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Keith Jones, and reporting from Jackie Redmond.

Live game coverage throughout the Eastern Conference Final will begin at 7 p.m. each night with NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist, 10-year NHL veteran Anson Carter and Calder Cup Champion Paul Bissonnette. Head coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning Jon Cooper will join the studio show as a guest analyst on Saturday, May 20 for Game 2 of the series.

The studio team will also provide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report, and the NHL on TNT Post Game Show, presented by Cadillac.   

The Panthers and Hurricanes will face off in their first-ever Stanley Cup Playoffs matchup. After defeating the history-making Boston Bruins in seven games, the Panthers moved past the Toronto Maple Leafs in five. They will look to make their first Final appearance since 1996 and win the franchise's first-ever Stanley Cup.

Aiming for the franchise's second Stanley Cup, the Hurricanes shut down the New York Islanders in six and New Jersey Devils in five games to set up their second Eastern Conference Final appearance in five years. Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal will be playing against his brothers Eric and Marc - both on the Panthers - for a spot in the Stanley Cup Final.
