"AMERICAN GANGSTER: TRAP QUEENS" RETURNS TO BET+ FOR A FOURTH SEASON ON THURSDAY, JULY 10

THE TRUE CRIME DOCU-SERIES, FROM A. SMITH & CO. PRODUCTIONS, IS NARRATED BY HIP-HOP ICON DA BRAT

Los Angeles, CA - June 24, 2025 - Today, BET+ announced the return of the hit original series "American Gangster: Trap Queens," which documents the cautionary tales of America's most notorious women masterminds who ran drug empires and multimillion-dollar hustles of every stripe. The first half of Season 4 premieres Thursday, July 10, with five episodes.

Narrated by two-time Grammy(R)-nominated rapper, actress, and radio personality Da Brat, each episode chronicles a Queen's journey as she builds a multi-million-dollar underworld empire, before her fall and ultimate redemption. This season of "American Gangster: Trap Queens" features the stories of:

Felicia "Snoop" Pearson: Felicia "Snoop" Pearson dives headfirst into the dangerous streets of '80s Baltimore, rising to become a feared enforcer & drug empire queen. Her ruthless journey inspires a breakout acting role on the hit TV show "The Wire," but her loyalty to old friends puts her future at risk.

Black Madam: Disowned after coming out as trans, Padge Windslowe hustles from Philly's underground to the pinnacle of black-market silicone injections. As "Black Madam," she chases fortune - until a deadly injection gone wrong brings her face-to-face with justice.

Angela "Shay" Wright: Scarred by her parents' divorce, Angela turned her pain into power - teaching in the classroom by day while transporting cocaine by night. She later plugs in to BMF to run a multi-million-dollar coke operation until a betrayal brings it all crashing down.

Sharita Mathis: Driven by her family's expectations, Sharita masterminds a Medicaid fraud, transforming bogus claims and stolen identities into a multi-million-dollar empire. But when an audit triggers a federal investigation, her world comes crashing down.

Celeste Wells: Celeste Wells, shaped by a traumatic childhood in 1950s Miami, becomes a superstar thief. From pickpocketing tourists to running drug smuggling and jewelry theft rings, her criminal empire grows - until a corrupt cop leads to her downfall.

Kristell Miles: Kristell Miles flees a troubled past for a fresh start at a HBCU in Daytona - but campus life takes a backseat when she falls for a local dealer and fast money. After crashing hard, Kristell reinvents herself to become the queenpin of Kissimmee.

Starr Austin: Starr runs game on suburban Detroit car dealerships - boosting brand-new Cadillacs and flipping them for major cash at the chop shop. She racks up millions in stolen luxury rides, but when the hustle gets too hot, Starr's empire spins out of control.

Veronica Henderson: Veronica Henderson went from bank teller to criminal mastermind - flipping the system with a $20 million credit card scam. But when the heat turns up, it's her own family who turns her in, exposing her as the brains behind the infamous "Approval Game."

Nelly Idowu: Nelly Idowu came to Utah chasing the American dream - but found a shortcut to millions. Trading ambition for deception, she masterminds a global romance scam empire, using her accounting skills to launder trap money across borders. Love was the bait. Fraud was the game.

Regina Blackshear: Regina Blackshear made millions stealing luxury furs - minks, sables, lynx - then flipping them to celebs and ballers on the black market. Crowned the Queen of Furs, her empire was unstoppable - until she joined a high-stakes jewelry heist crew that brought it all crashing down.

Building on the success of "American Gangster: Trap Queens," are two BET+ Original biopics. "First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story" premiered last year to widespread acclaim, earning NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Directing (Vivica A. Fox). This was followed by this year's powerful release, "Fighting To Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story." Together, these films expand the franchise's compelling storytelling.

"American Gangster: Trap Queens" is executive produced by Tiffany Lea Williams and Angela Aguilera for BET+, alongside Arthur Smith and Frank Sinton for A. Smith & Co. Productions. Additional executive producers include Judge Gregory Mathis, Delece James, and Jackson Nguyen, with David Rock serving as co-executive producer and Ashley Taylor serving as producer.
