ABC Wins Thursday Night, Leading Second-Place CBS By 6% in Total Viewers and by 44% in Adults 18-49

ABC's "Ugly Betty" Ranks No. 1 in its Hour with Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" Leads its Nearest Competition in the Hour by 8.4 Million Viewers and Beats the Combined Adults 18-49 Ratings of CBS, NBC and Fox by 12%

ABC's "October Road" Returns, Winning the 10 O'clock Hour in Adults 18-49, Beating Originals of CBS' "Shark" by 40% and NBC's "E.R." by 14%

Thursday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

With an all-original lineup featuring the return of "October Road" this week, ABC led Thursday night, outperforming second-place CBS by 6% in Total Viewers (13.4 million vs. 12.7 million) and by 44% in Adults 18-49 (5.2/15 vs. 3.6/10).

"Ugly Betty" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Opposite competition that included CBS' "Survivor: Fiji" and Fox's "Are You Smarter the a 5th Grader?," ABC's "Ugly Betty" ranked No. 1 in its hour among Adults 18-34 (2.8/9 - tied) and Women 18-34 (4.3/13).

"Grey's Anatomy" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" dominated the 9 o'clock hour in Total Viewers (20.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (8.5/22). The ABC drama outdrew its closest competition by 8.4 million viewers (CBS = 12.5 million) and beat the combined Adult 18-49 ratings for CBS, NBC and Fox in the hour by 12% (CBS/NBC/Fox = 7.6/21).

"October Road" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Airing against original programming, ABC's "October Road" returned to the lineup with a time period winning performance in Adults 18-49 (4.2/12), beating CBS' "Shark" by 40% (3.0/8) and NBC's "E.R." by 14% (3.7/10). In fact, "October Road's" victory marked the first time ever that a regularly- scheduled, ABC entertainment series beat an original episode of "E.R." in the key young adult demo.

� "October Road" ranked as the No. 2 program of the night in Adults 18-34 (4.4/14) and across each of the key women demos [Women 18-34 (6.3/18), Women 18-49 (6.2/16) and Women 25-54 (6.3/15)], behind only "Grey's Anatomy."

� "October Road" was up from its most recent telecast (4/5/07) by 2.2 million (9.9 million vs. 7.7 million) and by 40% in Adults 18-49 (4.2/12 vs. 3.0/9).
