#1 Performance Shows USA has Power of Broadcast Network

NEW YORK, NY � December 11, 2007 � With its best ratings performance ever, USA Network claims the #1 cable crown for the second year in a row. In addition, USA has significantly narrowed -- and often eliminated -- the ratings gap between itself and its nearest broadcast competition.

For 2007, USA counted broadcast networks as its closest competition in several key categories:

� USA's nearest P25-54 primetime competitor is the CW with 69,000 viewers separating the two, as compared to a 185,000 gap between USA and the #2 cable network TNT. For total viewers, USA is closer to the CW (104,000 difference) than to the #2 ad-supported cable network (466,000 difference with TNT).

� USA has closed the gap with CW considerably over the past year: the P25-54 difference was 687,000 in 4Q06 TD vs. 234,000 for 4Q07 TD -- a -66% drop in the gap; for P18-49, the gap narrowed from 907,000 to 396,000 -- a -56% smaller gap.

� USA was ahead of CW for the whole summer in P18-49 by +53% in P25-54 and +40% in P18-49.

� With new episodes of MONK on Fridays at 9pm, USA was #1 in all of television in both P25-54 and P18-49.

� With new episodes of PSYCH, USA was #2 in all of television in P25-54 and P18-49, behind only ABC.

� BURN NOTICE made USA the #2 television network in all of television on Thursdays at 10pm during its run in both P25-54 and P18-49, behind only CBS.

� USA out-delivered ABC for 2007 on Mondays from 9-11p among M18-49 by +38% and M25-54 by +18% for 2007.

For the second consecutive year, USA was the #1 cable network in P25-54, P18-49 and P18-34, and was also the #1 ad-supported cable network among total viewers and households. 2007 was also USA's best year ever with 1.2 million in P18-49, 1.2 million in P25-54, 558,000 in P18-34 and 2.67 million total viewers.

Other highlights include:

� 2007 is USA's 4th consecutive year of primetime growth among P25-54, P18-49, P18-34 and total viewers.

� USA has the top two new cable series � BURN NOTICE and THE STARTER WIFE � for the year among both P18-49 and P25-54 (BURN NOTICE is #1 in P25-54; THE STARTER WIFE is #1 in P18-49). This is the second year in a row USA had the #1 new series (PSYCH was #1 in 2006).

� USA has five of the top ten scripted series for the year P25-54 and P18-49, More than any other network, with BURN NOTICE, THE STARTER WIFE, MONK, PSYCH and LAW &ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. (No other network had more than two in either demo.)
