Solid Premiere for "Swingtown" as it Tops Debut of Competing Drama

"Fear Itself" in Viewers and Demos; Ranks #14 for the Week

CBS placed first in viewers for the second consecutive week of the summer season as the Network had four of the top six programs in viewers and 13 of the top 20 including 10 scripted programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending June 8, week 37 of the 2007-2008 television year.

In addition to the continued solid performances of CBS's scripted programs, MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD won its time period in viewers and key demographics for the second consecutive week (against basketball programming), while the series premiere of SWINGTOWN had a solid debut, placing second to Game 1 of the NBA Championship and easily topping NBC's competing new drama "Fear Itself."

For the week in viewers: CBS (7.24m), FOX (6.51m), ABC (6.13m) and NBC (5.73m).

For the week in households: CBS (4.9/09), FOX (4.1/07), ABC (4.0/07), and NBC (3.7/07).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 2.3/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.7/05 in adults 18-49.

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? SWINGTOWN (P) premiered in second place in households (5.9/10), viewers (8.57m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08), all behind ABC's NBA Finals. SWINGTOWN improved on its CSI lead-in by +17% in adults 18-49, +13% in adults 25-54 and retained 91% of CSI's household delivery and 89% of viewers.

Against NBC's premiere of "Fear Itself," SWINGTOWN topped NBC by +69% in households (vs. 3.5/06), +48% in adults 25-54 (vs. 2.3/06), +40% in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.0/06) and by +3.31m viewers (vs. 5.26m, +63%). Compared to last week (WITHOUT A TRACE rerun), SWINGTOWN was up +2% in households (from 5.8/10), +21% in adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07) and +33% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06).

? MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD posted a time period win in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.62m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06). Compared to last week's premiere, MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD retained 93% of its household delivery (from 6.8/12), 91% of viewers (from 10.62m), 87% of adults 25-54 (from 3.0/08) and 95% of adults 18-49 (from 2.2/07). Last week's premiere did not air against basketball.
