CBS Places First in Viewers for the Fifth Time in Six Weeks This Summer

CBS PLACES FIRST IN VIEWERS FOR THE FIFTH TIME IN SIX WEEKS THIS SUMMER

"Criminal Minds" is the Top-Scripted Program Ranking No. 3 for the Week

"Million Dollar Password" Continues to Win Its Time Period in Viewers

"Swingtown" Places First in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 for the Second Straight Week

CBS placed first in viewers for the fifth time in six weeks this summer as CRIMINAL MINDS was the top-scripted program and ranked No. 3 among all programs, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 6, which included the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

MILLION DOLLAR PASSWORD has now won its time period in viewers with every first-run episode and SWINGTOWN placed first in its time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the second consecutive week.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.25m), NBC (5.85m), FOX (5.44m) and ABC (4.55m). Summer-to-date: CBS (6.89m) leads both FOX and NBC (6.13m, each) and ABC (5.65m).

For the week in households: CBS (4.2/08), NBC (3.7/07), FOX (3.4/07) and ABC (3.0/06). Summer-to-date, CBS (4.7/08) is +21% ahead of NBC (3.9/07), +24% ahead of FOX (3.8/07) and +27% ahead of ABC (3.7/07).

For the week in key demographics, CBS averaged a 1.8/06 in adults 25-54 and 1.4/05 in adults 18-49.

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? CRIMINAL MINDS (R) was first in households (6.0/10), second in viewers (9.13m, -0.02m behind FOX) and ranked as the week's top scripted program.

? CSI: NY (R) was first in households (5.7/10), viewers (8.50m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.9/06, with NBC).

? SWINGTOWN (3.2/06, 4.55m) was first in adults 25-54 (1.8/05) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.3/05, with NBC).

? BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR (S) was first in households (3.8/09), viewers (5.94m), adults 25-54 (1.5/06) and adults 18-49 (1.0/05). BOSTON POPS FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR was Friday's top program in households, viewers and adults 25-54.
