Kids Suit Up for Nicktoons Network's Iron Man

New Series Nabs Net's Highest-Rated Premiere Ever with Boys 6-11

NEW YORK, April 28 -- Nicktoons Network's debut of Iron Man: Armored Adventures (April 24, 7:30 p.m. ET)--the new action-packed animated series based on Marvel's popular super hero--was the network's highest-rated original series premiere ever with boys 6-11, averaging a 2.0/125,000 B6-11 (+100% in rating).

The hour-long block of back-to-back Iron Man premieres elevated Nicktoons Network's ratings during the 7-8 p.m. (ET) time period by +43% with kids 6-11 and +55% with boys 6-11, and averaged a 1.0/121,000 K6-11 and a 1.7/103,000 B6-11.

Overall, Nicktoons Network (available in 54 million U.S. households) lodged its highest-rated April ever this month with all core demographics and total viewers, averaging a 0.4/55,000 K6-11 (+33%), a 0.3/40,000 T9-14 (+50%) and 168,000 total viewers (+56%). Nicktoons Network grew its April ratings by +50% with boys 6-11 in total day and +33% in prime time, averaging a 0.6/39,000 B6-11 (total day) and 0.8/48,000 B6-11 (prime time). The network also posted a +67% April ratings gain with boys 9-14 in both total day and prime time, averaging a 0.5/29,000 B9-14 (total day) and a 0.5/31,000 B9-14 (prime time).

Highlights of Iron Man's 7:30 p.m. (ET) episode include:

Iron Man scored triple-digit yearly ratings gains of +100% with all kid demos, averaging a 1.2/249,000 K2-11 and a 1.2/153,000 K6-11.

Posting double-digit increases with boys 2-11 and total viewers, Iron Man averaged a 1.8/189,000 B2-11 (+80% in rating) and drew 511,000 P2+ (+90% in delivery).

The episode also averaged a 0.9/54,000 B9-14.

The Iron Man premiere catapulted NicktoonsNetwork.com to its highest week ever. The site earned 239,000 visitors (+389% versus last year) and 1.9 million page views (+1,390%) during the week of April 20.

Nicktoons Network is the fastest growing kids' network and offers a 24-hour schedule featuring programming such as the Nicktoons Network Animation Festival, Speed Racer: The Next Generation, Kappa Mikey, The Secret Show and Martin Mystery, as well as a roster of hits that have defined kids' and animation lovers' TV, including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents and The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius. Nicktoons Network is a part of the MTV Networks expanded suite of channels available for digital distribution.
