No Ordinary Family: In one of the most-competitive hours on TV this season (opposite Fox's Glee, CBS' NCIS and NBC's The Biggest Loser), ABC's No Ordinary Family continued to deliver big year-over-year time-period growth for ABC in the Tuesday's 8 o'clock hour, gain audience throughout its broadcast and outdraw established time period competition.

· In its time period, ABC freshman No Ordinary Family topped NBC's time-period established The Biggest Loser by more than 1 million viewers (7.7 million vs. 6.6 million). Building audience in the opening hour of the evening, self-starter No Ordinary increased its Total Viewers (+5% - 7.5 million to 7.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (+9% - 2.2/6 to 2.4/6) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.

The ABC dance competition ranked a dominant #1 in its slot among Adults 18-34 and across all key Women demos (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54). A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 38% currently, from 33% at the same point in 2009. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
