Led by Freshman Hits "Being Human" and "Face Off," Syfy Soared During First Quarter

LED BY FRESHMAN HITS "BEING HUMAN" AND "FACE OFF," SYFY SOARED 16 PERCENT IN ADULTS 18-34, 12 PERCENT AMONG TOTAL VIEWERS, SEVEN PERCENT AMONG WOMEN 18-34 AND SIX PERCENT AMONG ADULTS 18-49 DURING FIRST QUARTER

SYFY RANKED IN TOP 10 AMONG ADULTS 25-54, MEN 25-54 AND MEN 2+

NEW YORK - March 29, 2011 - Bolstered by the first year hit series Being Human and Face Off - both of which have been renewed for second seasons - Syfy leaped 16 percent among Adults 18-34, 12 percent in total viewers, seven percent among Women 18-34 and six percent among Adults 18-49 during First Quarter '11 prime.

In its freshman season, Face Off averaged 1.53 million total viewers, including 950,000 Adults 18-49 and 947,000 Adults 25-54.

Gaining momentum toward its April 11 season finale, Being Human has averaged 1.8 million total viewers, including 989,000 Adults 18-49 and 972,000 Adults 25-54, based on most-current data. Being Human delivers a young audience (median age 40.1) and, with 53% female viewers, is Syfy's most female-skewing original scripted series ever.

Also keying Syfy's First Quarter ratings growth were WWE Friday Night SmackDown(R), which averaged more than 3.2 million total viewers, and Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files, which established series records during its season two premiere.

These viewership successes boosted Syfy into the top 10 among cable entertainment networks in prime among Adults 25-54 (#8), averaging 627,000 viewers; Men 25-54 (#9) averaging 349,000 viewers, and Men 2+ (#9) averaging 740,000 viewers.

At its March 22 upfront, Syfy introduced the largest original programming slate in the channel's 18-year history, highlighted by 14 new original series and events comprising more than 100 hours

First Quarter traffic surged at Syfy.com, posting its best quarter in unique visitors since 4Q '09, rising 10 percent year to year.
