BBC AMERICA CELEBRATES ROYAL WEDDING RATINGS
Live coverage rates #1 among cable's non-news networks
New York - May 2, 2011 - BBC AMERICA scored a hit with its live coverage of the Royal Wedding on Friday, April 29. More than 7.2 million viewers tuned in throughout the day* as BBC AMERICA celebrated the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
During the Westminster Abbey ceremony (6:00-7:15am ET) BBC AMERICA pulled over 1 million viewers and was #1 in cable among non-news networks covering the wedding. It beat out other live feeds from MSNBC, TLC and E!, coming #3 overall, behind news channels CNN and Fox News Network.
Additionally, the BBC's Royal Wedding has been the #1 TV Season on the iTunes Store for the past two days.
